Did you know that…?
The holy Virgin Mary is a celestial staircase.

The vast majority of our separated brothers from the Catholic Church claim that the Virgin Mary is only a statue and image of idolatry. They deny that she could be the mother of God because if Christ is not the great and powerful God, then the Virgin is just a figment of our imagination.

Alrighty then! The Old Testament and the prophets speak of a great Messiah who would arrive at the fullness of time. In the book of Deuteronomy 18, 15-20 (Second Law), the Lord God, says to Moses, “I will raise up for you, from among your kindred, a prophet like you (Moses), I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to his words—those that this prophet pronounces in my name, I myself will hold accountable for it.”

The prophet Isaiah says, “The Lord Himself is going to give you a sign: Behold, a maiden is with child and is going to give birth to a son, and she will name him Emmanuel (God-with-us).” The coming of the Messiah or Savior of the world is a hymn of joy and hope throughout the entire Old Testament. In the New Testament, Christ asserts that he is eternal life, and no one can go to the Father, except only through Him.

If a separated brother from the Catholic Church wishes to go to the Father, then that person must accept Christ as their God and their Savior. That person should be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, within the very church that Christ instituted. Indeed! Because Christ is true God, just as Isaiah announced; Mary, the Virgin, is the maiden announced by the prophets. The plan of God the Father was that his Son would come to the world through a woman, who, being subject to a Mosaic or Jewish law (a very strict law), she—the Virgin—was clean and purified of all sin, worthy to be the mother of her only Son, the savior of the world.

If reaching the Father requires recognizing Christ as the true God, and if Mary is the one who begets him in this world, then she is the new Ark of the Covenant, instituted by God the Father almighty! Thus, Mary is not a statue of idolatry as alleged by our separated brothers. Every father and every good and just mother deserves recognition and honor from their own children. If Mary has sacrificed herself by being a good mother before God and before her descendants, then shouldn’t she deserve to be loved, honored, and venerated?!
It’s true that she isn’t God, and she cannot be worshipped, but we Catholics venerate her and respect her whole-heartedly for being our mother in the faith and the mother of our salvation.

Mary the Virgin, thus, is a staircase sent by God because she is the one who houses God in her womb. She automatically becomes a door to heaven so that we can all reach God, together with Jesus her son, and in this way, all of us may see God our heavenly Father.

Did you know this?
No, I didn’t know!
