The One True God: Universal Message

Christ: The One True God

Christ is the One True God

We know from Scripture, the Church, and the Ecclesiastical tradition that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Anointed one, the Lamb of God, the one true God. Christians of all denominations throughout the world have proclaimed him Christ the King.

There are those who call him the Word of God, in the way that the Jews or Israelites used to do. In their writings and according to their mentality, John the disciple and the other apostles would refer to him in this same way as the “Word of God, live and incarnate,” for they could not even begin to fathom the idea that the son of a carpenter could be the son of God. Thus, in their confusion and limited wisdom recognized him as the Word of God, but never did they imagine him being the one true God.

If the Word of God is merely the Word, then the one true God is only the Eternal Father, in keeping with this description of what it means to be the Word of God. Basically, the “Word” ends up being a diminutive, and the deity of Christ is lost. As a result, quite possibly many throughout the world don’t even recognize Him as the true God. The humanism and rational thought of the 17th Century, keeps bearing many fruits, that is, there is belief in God but not in Christ. The Jews, in Christ’s time, hoped for the coming of a powerful and vengeful God, in order to be liberated from the worldly oppression they were experiencing. Jesus could not possibly be that very much anticipated God they were hoping for, not to mention that one glance at his poverty-stricken appearance was enough to disappoint and let down anyone.

It was practically impossible for the Jews to believe that Jesus could be a God, especially for his brothers or cousins, the sons of Mary of Clopas—Mary’s cousin (wife of Joseph). The apostles John, James, and Judas Thaddaeus—Jesus’ cousins—who grew up and lived their childhood together in the same home, could not possibly imagine that Jesus, their brother, had any hint whatsoever of a God and less so that he could be the one true God.

Christ is Yahweh—The One Who Exists

Isaiah calls him Yahweh: On that day, no longer will the remnant of Israel and all those from the house of Jacob whom were liberated, will they rely on he whom mistreats them but will be upheld firmly in Yahweh, that is to say the “Existent, He who Lives.”

Who would believe what we have heard? And to whom has the arm of the Yahweh been revealed?

The prophet Joel calls him Yahweh: The sun shall turn dark and the moon into blood with the coming of the Day of Yahweh, great and terrible. It shall so happen that all who invoke the name of Yahweh shall be saved.

The prophesies of all the prophets indicated to the coming of the Day of Yahweh, that is, according to King Solomon’s prayer, God himself was to come visit us and save us. According to the Psalmist, God has constituted him the Cornerstone and fundamental to the salvation of humanity. Jesus Christ names himself the Way—the one true God—and guarantees that all who look for their life shall lose it, but whoever loses their life for His sake will find it.

During Jesus’ interrogation before his crucifixion, Pilate asks him if he is God, and Jesus replies, “You have said so!” confirming that Pilate was saying the truth. Additionally, this was the reason for Jesus’ crucifixion.

Christ is the Only Means by which All Humanity can be Saved

The Apostle Peter says:

For there isn’t under the heavens any other name given to man by which we must all be saved.Acts 4,12

Days before Jesus would part to heaven, next to his Father, and after having resurrected, he hands over the keys of his Church to Peter the apostle. The scriptures of the prophet Isaiah are fulfilled in the following, “

I shall place the key to the house of David on his shoulder; he shall open and no one will close, he’ll close and no one shall open ”Isaiah 22,22

…thus assigning a successor to stay in his place here on earth, better known today as the Pope, assuring that He himself, Jesus Christ—the one true God—has already left his one and only Kingdom and Way of salvation established in the world, until the end of time or the world, just as he promised before parting to his Eternal Father’s right hand side.

Christ is True God

Being the one true God, Jesus Christ has wanted to leave his power in Heaven with his Father and has shown himself to mankind as but a simple little man, like a vagabond, like someone who doesn’t even have a place to recline his head on…having everything, he humbled himself and never demonstrated pride or power. He was able to do this in a way that no other man on earth can do since pleasure, honor, and riches are the strength of men but not in a divine being.

Poverty was his refuge and was like a very beloved mother to him. Having everything, he entrusted it all to his Eternal Father—to the one true God, and his Father, loving him with all his heart as one does when they have an Only Son, lets him come to this world and suffer for the salvation of men and women.

According to the Apostle John, recognizing that Jesus performs the miracles of a God who is one and true, says the following: But we know that the Son of God has come and has given us the intelligence to know the True One; we are in the True One, in his Son Jesus Christ; this is the one true God and the eternal Life.

Nevertheless the Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, says: For which God exalted him and gave him the name that is above all names, so that unto the name of Jesus every knee in the heavens, on earth, and in the abyss is folded and all tongues confess that Christ Jesus is LORD for the glory of God the Father.

God is Three Distinct Persons, and the Three Persons are One True God

Evidently, the Son loves the Father and the Father loves the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the same Spirit of Both and all give testimony of each other. Thus, without contradicting each other, they have proclaimed to be the One True God and three distinct persons.

If the Father has given all the Seigniory of life and of Heaven to his Only Son, and He has exalted him above everything, it is because God constitutes his own Son as the One and only, as the one true God, and has submitted everything to his Seigniory. If God the Eternal One has declared that the three persons are one single God, how is it that mankind, mortal beings—fragile and corrupt—cannot recognize Christ as the One True God?

If Christ is the One True God, then His Universal Catholic Church is the One True Church

Let’s be realistic, we humans cannot even live for a few minutes by our own volition. How is it possible for one man to save another? And if God has instituted One Church, Holy People and only way to salvation in the world: What could be the reason humans don’t want to be saved? Why do we humans look for our own solutions and form our own religions, knowing that Christ is only one and his Church is the only one.

If there is only one solution to humankind’s salvation, why do we insist on saving ourselves when we know full well that God has already positioned and set Jacob’s ladder, which reaches all the way to heaven? That ladder is called the Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church, instituted more than 2000 years ago by Christ the One True God. Moreover, we do not know of any other religions, creeds, or means of salvation that He could have instituted.

Regards and peace to everyone in the name of the One True God
And from your lowly brother, Jesé Retoño.
My eldest son is the one who translates these writings to English; he sends you greetings of peace in the name of Christ.
Amen.
